Fall Enrollment Now Open

Wishing our community a joyful Nowruz—a celebration of renewal, growth, and new beginnings. May this season of spring bring warmth, beauty, and fresh starts to all who celebrate.

Spring arrived in our Early Childhood Center not just with sunshine and blooming flowers, but with a rich and meaningful celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year—a holiday centered on renewal, growth, and new beginnings.

In our Saplings (ages 3–4) and Mighty Oaks (ages 4–5) classrooms, students gathered around a special Haft-Sin table, thoughtfully prepared to introduce them to the traditions of Nowruz in a hands-on and engaging way.

The Haft-Sin is a traditional Nowruz table setting featuring seven symbolic items that each begin with the Persian letter “S” (س). Together, these items represent themes of life, health, and renewal. Our students explored each element with curiosity and wonder—from Sabzeh (sprouts), symbolizing rebirth, to Seeb (apple), representing health, and Serkeh (vinegar), reflecting patience and wisdom.

They also discovered the beauty of the table itself, which included mirrors, candles, and even goldfish, adding a sense of movement and life to the celebration of spring.

Guided by our ECC teacher Mojdeh, students were introduced to these traditions through storytelling, observation, and conversation—bringing cultural learning to life in a way that was both meaningful and age-appropriate.

Moments like these are at the heart of our ECC experience: nurturing curiosity, celebrating diverse traditions, and helping children connect to the rhythms of the world around them.

As we welcome the new season, we are grateful for the opportunity to explore holidays like Nowruz together—planting seeds of understanding, joy, and community in our youngest learners.
