This Holiday Season: Building a Menorah in Group 3

This holiday season, our Group 3 students embraced the spirit of Hanukkah with a fun and collaborative classroom project: building a menorah! This hands-on activity celebrated the Festival of Lights while fostering essential skills like teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.

To bring our menorah to life, students used a variety of materials, including Styrofoam, cardboard, glue, tape, paper towel rolls, stickers, paint, tissue paper, markers, and scissors. The class was divided into small groups, with each team tasked with designing and constructing a specific part of the menorah. Once the individual parts were completed, we brought them all together to assemble our collective masterpiece.

This project was more than just a celebration of Hanukkah—it was an opportunity to develop valuable skills like fine motor coordination, creative thinking, and collaboration. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we carefully covered our workspace and supervised students during the use of materials like scissors, glue, and paint.

By the end of the activity, our students not only created a beautiful menorah but also strengthened their social and academic skills. We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts and teamwork.

Happy Hanukkah from all of us! 🕎
